MOVING IN

Once you have been notified that you have been accepted for residency at Griffin Properties, you will be given:
  • The complete apartment address; including street address, apartment number and zip code.

  • A move-in date; this date will be agreed upon between you and management.

  • Amount required to move-in, including security deposit and rent due (rent due may be prorated based on the actual move-in day).

When you move in, your apartment will be clean and ready for you.  You and management will inspect it together and the condition will be noted on a Condition & Inventory Checklist Form.

On or before the date of the actual move-in, the lease will be presented to you and the items will be explained to you.  Once you agree that you understand the lease, the lease will be signed and copies will be given to you.  At that time, all keys to access the apartment and all common areas of the building will be given to you.  

You will be asked to move all of your belongings through the rear entry of the building.  Management will explain to you where you may park your vehicles and where to access the building to make your move go as smoothly as possible.

Utilities:

Please arrange to have the following services transferred to your name by your move-in date:

  • Electric Service - Commonweath Edison 1-800-334-7661.

  • Gas Service - Peoples Energy 1-866-556-6001 (for cooking gas only or heating/cooking gas/hot water).
